Mita Huq laid to rest in Keraniganj
Ekushey Padak-winning Rabindra Sangeet singer Mita Huq was buried next to her father and mother’ grave at the family group graveyard in Keraniganj after Zohr prayers today.
Mita Huq’s son-in-law Mostafiz Shaheen has confirmed the problem informing that her namaz-e-janaza was also held there.
Earlier, your body of Mita was taken up to the Chayanat Bhaban found in the capital around 11am where people from almost all walks of lifestyle including her members of the family and several persons from the cultural arena paid their last tributes to her.
Mita Huq died today while undergoing treatment at a medical center in the city at age 59.
She was admitted to the hospital as she tested great for Covid-19.
Four times ago, she was released from the hospital when she tested detrimental for Coronavirus.
But all of a sudden, she again became unwell and then she was admitted to the hospital. She was also suffering from kidney diseases.
Mita Haq, born found in September in 1962 found in Dhaka, was wife of deceased actor Khaled Khan.
Mita Haq was top graded singer of Bangladesh Beter. Her primary Rabindra sangeet album titled ‘Amar Mon Mane Na’ premiered in 1990. She's so far sung practically 200 Rabindra songs. A complete of her 24 solo albums . Of the albums, 14 from India and another 10 from Bangladesh - have up to now been released.
Mita, who was conferred with Shilpakala Padak found in 2016, received Bangla Academy Rabindra Award marking the 156 birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore.
She also received the Ekhushey Padak, most prestigious award of the government, in 2020 for playing important purpose in the Rabindra sangeet.
