Lamps Plus, with Merhi’s curation and consultation, is expected to add more lighting fixtures to the Inspire Me! Home Decor collection in 2022.
Based in Grand Rapids, Mich., Merhi has built a business of product lines across her website, retail and manufacturing partnerships. Inspire Me! Home Decor lighting fixtures are manufactured exclusively by Lamps Plus.
“Farah Merhi and her Inspire Me! Home Decor brand define luxury that can bring elegant touches to every home. We launched the Inspire Me! Home Decor lighting collection to utilize her keen eye for luxury style and the daily expertise she shares with her massive audience,” said Dennis Swanson, founder and CEO of Lamps Plus. “Having collaborated with Farah for several years, we know Farah’s social media audience turns to her for achievable luxury inspiration.”
“Lighting is absolutely critical when designing a room to set the tone and mood,” Merhi said. “My go-to resource for most of my home lighting has always been Lamps Plus so that had to be the origin of my lighting collection. Each fixture is intended to be a timeless statement piece, adding a ‘wow factor’ to a room.”
An Elegant and Attainable Collection
The Inspire Me! Home Decor lighting collection showcases luxury chandeliers and pendant lights of gold and crystal, each meant to be a room’s focal point. Styles vary while offering unique designs, all with luxe highlights. The collection includes a chandelier featuring touches of bronze with crystals and a pendant light adding a subtle warm gold glow resonating from inside a white drum shade.
Two gold lamp shade patterns are available on six different lamp bases and give homeowners an easy addition to room decor without the electrical work required to add a lighting fixture.
A Growing Trend: Content Creator Collections
In recent years, the home industry has seen a steady growth of brand partnerships with noteworthy personalities, including content creators, celebrities, interior designers and artists to offer their signature product collections.
According to the AspireIQ The 2021 State of Influencer Marketing report, 96 percent of creators want deeper relationships with brands, including a role in improving their favorite brands’ products.
“Brands that partner with a prominent influencer to curate a product collection, regardless of the industry, not only tap into that influencer’s unique tastes but also leverage a built-in audience eager to view new products and shop. This generates brand awareness and a desirability by entering into an authentic partnership,” said Stacy DeBroff, influencer marketing expert, CEO and founder of Influence Central. “In the home space, we’ve seen fewer influencer product collections than we have in fashion, but we expect this trend of influencer home product collections to continue to grow in the coming year.”
“A content creator’s collection offers brands the creator’s perspective, authenticity and opportunity to connect with their audience,” said Angela Hsu, Senior Vice President of Marketing and eCommerce, Lamps Plus. “With Farah’s ability to reach millions of women daily on their phones, this puts her social media on par with more traditional media, but perhaps with better audience measurement, frequent updates and real-time engagement between Farah and her audience. Consumers’ relying on content creators for advice and the opportunity to shop their collections continues to grow.”
Farah Merhi: Content Creator
Farah’s daily advice is enjoyed by more than 9.5 million followers on social media. She created her initial Instagram account, @inspire_me_home_decor, which currently has 6.5 million followers, in 2012 to show her design inspiration. On @farahjmerhi, she shares personal photos and videos of her home to demonstrate decorating and food tips. Her TikTok channel, @farahjmerhi, has over 1.9 million followers.
“Farah connects with her followers daily with insightful posts and engaging videos that make her content feel like it’s personalized for each of her followers and gives them a sense that they have a direct relationship with her,” said Hsu. “Women rely on Farah’s daily advice she shares on her social media to help make their homes stylish and comfortable. We’ve worked with Farah for years providing products for her home so we decided her style should be brought to lighting and that’s why we’re releasing her Inspire Me! Home Decor lighting collection.”
Lamps Plus fixtures are featured throughout Merhi’s home.
Lamps Plus and Farah Merhi have had a collaborative partnership for more than five years, including her involvement in the company’s 2019-2020 brand ambassador program, which featured Merhi among four other successful women content creators and interior designers.
