Lightning kills 2 in Cox’s Bazar
Two persons were killed as a thunderbolt struck them in Maheshkhali upazila of Cox's Bazar on Wednesday (January 1).
The deceased were identified as Ahmed Kabir, 32, son of Amir Golal of Fakira Ghona village under Boro Maheshkhali union of the upazila and Nurul Karib of Mahapara village of the same union.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Maheshkhali police Station Prabhas Chandra Dhar told Banglanews: “Two of them were working in a salt field during rains in the morning. At that time, lightning struck them and they got killed.”
