Man, brother-in-law killed in lightning strike in Joypurhat
A man and his brother-in-law were killed by lightning strike at Chandrapail village in Raikali union under Akkelpur upazila of Joypurhat on Saturday night.
The deceased were recognized as Sakin Hossain, 22, son of Azizar Rahman, hailing from Dudhkuri village in Badalgashi upazila of Naogaon and his brother-in-law Lutfur Rahman, 19, from the same area.
Confirming the news, Abu Obayed, officer-in-charge (OC) of Akkelpur Police Station, stated the lightning struck about them when Sakin and Lutfur had been working in the field in the region, leaving the duo dead on the spot.
