Four killed in Sunamganj lightning strikes
Four persons were killed in lightning strikes in four upazilas of Sunamganj on Saturday (April 18) morning.
The deceased were Shipon, 32, a resident of Baudhoron village of Jagannathpur upazilla, Tapash Mia, 25, a resident of Jolshukha village of Azmiriganj upazilla of Habiganj district, Sangkar Sarkar, 22, a resident of Narayanpur village of Shalla upazila, and Farid Mia, 35, a resident of Uttar Gazinagar (Pashchimpara) village of Dakkhin Sunamganj upazilla.
Officers-in-Charge (OCs) of Jagannathpur, Dirai, Shalla and Dakkhin Sunamganj police stations confirmed the deaths of the farmers due to thunder strikes.
