8 killed in Sunamganj boat capsize
At least eight people, including six children, drowned as a boat capsized in a haor in Derai upazila of Sunamgnaj on Tuesday night.
Two others are still missing.
The boat heading towards Perua village in the same upazila to attain a marriage party capsized during strong wind around 8pm.
Being informed, Fire Service and Civil Defene members recovered four bodies from the haor at night.
Later on Wednesday morning, the divers recovered four more bodies.
The deceased were identified as Roitonu Nesa, 35, Shanta Begum, 4, Korima Begum, 62, Asad Miah, 6, Shamim, 3, Abid, 4, Sohan, 2 and Azam, 2.
