Khaleda’s relatives meet up with her at BSMMU
Five relatives of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia met her at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) on Friday afternoon.
Her younger brother Shamim Eskander, his wife Kaniz Fatema, boy Avik Eskander, nephews Shafin Eskander and Shahriar Haque entered the Cabin Block of BSMMU around 3 pm but they did not speak to reporters through the visit.
Khaleda Zia was admitted to BSMMU after she fell sick on April 1 this past year. She has experienced jail since February 8, 2018, after staying convicted in two corruption situations.
On February 11, five relatives, including her sister Selima, met Khaleda at the hospital. Soon after, they demanded her release for better treatment overseas.
The court is scheduled to listen to Khaleda’s bail plea on Sunday.
