Fazilatunnesa Bappy dies
Former member of parliament (MP) from reserved seat Fazilatunnesa Bappy passed away at a hospital in the capital on Thursday. She was 49.
Bappy, also a prosecutor for the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT), breathed her last around 8:30am at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Hospital.
She was admitted to the hospital on December 28 with pneumonia and breathing problems where she was, later, diagnosed with H1A1 (influenza).
Bappy had been put on life support since December 29 at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) following deterioration of her health condition.
Deputy Attorney General AKM Amin Uddin Manik confirmed her death news.
