You're very lucky, Dr Shetty to Quader's wife
Renowned cardiologist Devi Shetty said that Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has been given all necessary treatment at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU).
At that time, he told Obaidul's wife Isratunnesa Quader, "You're very lucky. He (Obaidul Quader) was given all possible treatment here."
Dr Shetty made the comment after visiting the Road Transport and Bridges Minister at the BSMMU, said the BSMMU Vice Chancellor Dr Kanak Kanti Barua at a press briefing on Monday.
"Dr Shetty first saw all the reports of the tests done on the minister and kept him under observation for sometime. He then said that he (Obaidul Quader) has been given all kinds of treatment.And even, Europe, USA hospitals can not provide better treatment than provided at the BSMMU. Now, you can shift him," said Dr Barua quoting the Indian cardiologist.
Meanwhile, the Road Transport and Bridges Minister was being taken to Singapore by an air ambulance for treatment.
The 67-year old minister, was admitted to the hospital on Sunday morning with breathing problem.
He has three arterial blocks and one of those has been removed by stenting, according to BSMMU Cardiology Department Prof Syed Ali Ahsan, who is leading a board overseeing his care.
