Keraniganj plastic factory fire: Death toll rises to 9
The death toll from Wednesday's fire at a plastic factory in Dhaka's Keraniganj rose to nine.
Eight burn victims who were undergoing treatment at the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) died from Wednesday night to Thursday morning.
The burn unit doctor Ariful Islam Nabin confirmed the matter.
The deceased were identified as Imran, Babul, Khaleq, Salauddin, Sujon, Jinarul Islam, Alam and Jakir Hossain.
A fire broke out at Prime Pack and Plastic Industries Ltd in Chunkutia area around 4:15pm that left one dead and 25 people injured.
