Mirpur slum fire: Probe body formed
A committee has been formed to investigate the reason behind the fire at Mirpur slum.
Home Ministry Additional secretary Arun Kanti Shikdar confirmed the matter on Saturday.
A fire that broke out at Jhilpar slum behind Rupnagar Police Station, around 7:22pm on Friday, was doused after three-and-half-hour's frantic efforts.
A total of 20 units of fire fighters worked to douse the blaze.
Three people were injured in the incident and admitted to a hospital. Two were identified as Kabir, 35, and Habib, 19.
