Gazipur foam factory catches fire
A fire broke out at a foam factory in Narayanpool area of Mirerbazar of Gazipur city on Tuesday (Oct 22) morning.
Md Mamunur Rashid, deputy assistant director of Gazipur fire service, told Banglanews that a fire erupted at Al Razi Polymer Industries in Narayanpool area of Mirerbazar around 8am.
On information, three fire fighting units from Joydebpur, Tangi and Kaliganj rushed to the spot.
After one hour of frantic efforts, the blaze has been put out.
In the meantime, machineries of the factory and foam items were burned down in the incident.
The flame erupted from an electric short circuit. But the extent of loss from the fire is yet to be estimated, he added.
