8 burnt in Gazipur factory fire
Eight people received burn injuries when a fire broke out at a factory in Sreepur upazila of Gazipur on Friday night.
Mawna Fire Service and Civil Defence Station officer Ram Prashad Pal said the fire originated from a gas line leackage beside the generator room of Jarba Textile Mills Ltd in Mawna Uttar Para area around 9:30pm due to overpressure of gas, leaving eight people injured.
The factory authorities managed to bring the fire under control on their own management before reaching of two units of Fire Service and Civil Defence, the official added.
The injured people were admitted to a local hospital.
Among them, four were sent to Dhaka for better treatment.
