Fire at Rajdhahi Super Market doused
The fire that broke out at Rajdhahi Supermarket at Tikatoli in city on Wednesday evening has been brought under control after one and half hour long efforts.

Twenty-five firefighting units brought the fire under control around 6:35pm, said Debasish Bardhan, Deputy Director at Fire Service and Civil Defence.

However, no casualty was reported in the incident.

The fire originated from a unit on the first floor of the market, but the reason behind the blaze could not be known yet, he added.

According to locals, a total of 70-80 shops were gutted by the fire.

The fire broke out around 5:15pm, Polash Chandra Modok, duty officer at the Fire Service headquarters earlier told Banglanews.

Rajdhani Super Market established by Muktijudha Kolyan Trust (Freedom Fighter Welfare Trust) has some 1,500 shops mostly of saris, shoes, dress designing material and cosmetics.
