Fire at Khilgaon slum, kitchen market
A slum and a kitchen market in Khilgaon of Dhaka caught fire at early hours of Thursday (April 4).
The fire, however, was brought under control by frantic efforts of as many as 15 fire service units for around two hours.
The fire was doused around 5am, Fire Service & Civil Defence Control Room Duty Officer Mahfuz Riben told Banglanews.
The fire erupted at a kitchen market and the slum besides the railway around 3:15am.
The reason of the fire and the extent of loss couldn’t be confirmed immediately.
