Faruk among 3 quota reform leaders sent to jail
A Dhaka court has sent 3 leaders of the quota reform movement including Faruk Hossain, joint convener of Bangladesh Sadharan Chhatra Adhikar Sangrakkhan Parishad, after completion of their two-day remand in two cases.

The other two leaders are- Jasim Uddin and Moshiur Rahman.

DB police inspector Bahauddin Faruki produced the leaders before Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court on Saturday (July 14) seeking their detention till the investigation ends.  

After hearing, Metropolitan Magistrate Shabbir Yasser Arafat Chowdhury sent them to jail. 

Earlier on July 3, police arrested the three leaders and they were sent to jail through court. Later on July 10, a Dhaka court placed them on two-day remand in two cases. The two cases were filed in connection with the attacks at Dhaka University vice chancellor's residence and police and vandalizing vehicles on April 9.
