Jahangirnagar University ex-student killed in Dhaka
Former student of Jahangirnagar University, Shahriar Sourav alias Sajan (28) was killed in a road accident on the road from motorbike to Kalshi flyover of capital Dhaka. Shahriar was a student of 39th batch of Geography and Environmental Science Department of Jahangirnagar University. His house in the city of Thakurgaon, Hallpara. He was fellowship with an organization named Teach for Bangladesh.

Witnesses said that a passenger bus, Basumati, hit him near Hotel Radisson Blu, when he was driving Shahriar motorcycle from Kalshi flyover at around 11am on Sunday. When he fell asleep with a motorcycle, another bus came and pressed him. Later, with the help of police, witnesses seriously injured Shahriar took to Kurmitola General Hospital and the duty doctor declared him dead.

Shahriar's friend Jahangirnagar University's 39th batch former student, Adnan Khairullah, said that Shahriar's janazah was done at the court premises at the Kurmitola General Hospital. After the funeral, the dead body of a four-and-a-half-flight flight was to be taken to Thakurgaon. The body will be buried there.

Adnan Khairullah said, Shahriar has been married for a year. There is no child. In the family there are his parents and a sister. He was the eldest child of the family. He had the responsibility of the whole family.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police's Gulshan zone assistant commissioner (AC) Taposh Kumar Das told first light that one person was killed in the bus accident. The bus has been arrested in this incident. The driver ran away. He is trying to detain him.
