Fahad murder: Accused Sadat put on 5-day remand
SM Nazmus Sadat, an FIR-listed accused in BUET student Abrar Fahad murder case, has been placed on five-day remand.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Morshed Al Mamun Bhuiyan passed the order after police produced Sadat before the court seeking 10-day remand. 

No lawyer stood for accused Sadat, also second year student of Mechanical Engineering department at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), during the hearing. 

Early Tuesday, SM Nazmus Sadat was arrested by detectives from Dinajpur.  

DB sources said Sadat went into hiding after the incident of Fahad murder. He tried to flee away India along Hili border of Dinajpur to escape arrest.

With the arrest of Sadat, the number of nabbed accused in the case stood at 20.

Abrar Fahad, 21, a second year student of Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), was found dead at his dormitory Sher-e-Bangla Hall in the early hours of October 7.

The dormitory students alleged that Fahad was beaten to death by the university unit Chhatra League men at one stage of questioning him on suspicion of Shibir following his facebook post over recent several deals with India.

Fahad's father in the evening on that day lodged a case with Chawkbazar Police Station against 19 BUET students.
