Anik confesses to killing Fahad
Anik Sarkar Apu, one of the key accused in BUET student Abrar Fahad murder case, has confessed to his involvement in the murder.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Atiqul Islam recorded Anik’s confessional statement under section 164 on Saturday (October 12).
The court sent him to jail afterwards, but the court and concerned officials refused to reveal what Anik had confessed.
Police arrested all the 19 accused in the case.
Earlier on October 8, Investigation officer and detective branch inspector Md Wahiduzzaman appealed to the court to record their confessional statement.
So far, 3 accused’ confessional statement has been recorded.
Abrar Fahad, aged 21, a student of electrical and electronic engineering department at BUET, was tortured to death reportedly by BCL leaders at Sher-e-Bangla Hall of the university on October 7.
He was found dead on the staircase of the dormitory early Monday.
The deceased’s father filed the case with Chawkbazar Police Station.
