Emirates operates first airline flight serviced by fully vaccinated frontline teams
Emirates as one of the first airlines on the planet operated a flight yesterday, February 21 with fully vaccinated frontline teams servicing customers in every touchpoint of the travelling journey.

EK215, which departed Dubai for LA, was safely supported by check-in, security, Organization and First Class lounge and boarding gate workers, together with engineers, pilots and cabin crew who made the choice to be fully vaccinated. As well supporting the flight’s operations were totally vaccinated aircraft overall look, loading and exceptional handling teams from dnata, and also SkyCargo teams working on the cargo and logistics requirements for the airline flight.

The Emirates Group rolled out its vaccination get at pace only over per month ago, and since that time, near 26,000, or 44%, of the Group’s UAE frontline aviation workforce have obtained both dosages of either the Pfizer-BioNTech or Sinopharm vaccines. Emirates Group’s vaccination centres have already been running 12 time a day, each day of the week to prioritise and offer aviation frontliners with the vaccine.

Adel Al Redha, Chief Operating Officer, Emirates Airline said: “First of the pandemic, Emirates applied robust safety measures to protect and prioritise the safeness of our customers and employees at all stages of the travel journey, and with the quick progress of our very own vaccination programme and high rates of take-up, even more of our flights will be operating with fully vaccinated frontline personnel. We are also positive that with an increase of people being vaccinated, combined with strong safety methods set up, we can all anticipate the easing of border access guidelines for most countries.”

The UAE currently has among the world’s highest rate of vaccinations because of its citizens and residents as it fights to curb the spread of Covid-19. Up to now, the UAE offers administered over 5.4 million dosages of the Covid-19 vaccine, and THE WORLD in Data, a study website based at Oxford University, recently reported that the country’s distribution rate stands at 55.27 doses per 100 people, position it the next highest on earth.

Emirates now operates 15 flights a week from Dhaka via Dubai provides convenient connections to above 90 cities across 6 continents.
