Death toll from Narayanganj gas leak explosion reaches 4
The death toll from the fire due to gas leak in a six-storey setting up at Fatullah of Narayanganj rose to four as one of the injured victims died at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Shed and COSMETIC SURGERY on Saturday.
Md Sabbir, who suffered 42pc burns, died today, confirmed Partha Sanker Paul, resident surgeon of the hospital.
Dr Partha Shankar Pal, resident physician of the institute confirmed the matter.
On Tuesday, fire erupted from an explosion at the top flooring of a six-storey construction in Masdai Patenga Mor area of Fatullah.
Garment employee Md Mishal, 27, his wife Mita, 23, their son Minhaj, and girl Afsana, 5, and Mita's two cousins Mahfuzul Rahman, 12, and Md Sabbir, 15, received burns in the incident.
Mishal, Mahfuzul and Minhaj died at the burn institute on the subject of Wednesday, Thursday and Fri respectively.
Two other folks -- Mita, and Afsana, -- with 14pc and 10pc burns respectively are now undergoing treatment at the hospital.
