Biman flight makes emergency landing in Sylhet
A Bangladesh Biman flight, carrying 65 people, made an emergency landing at Osmani International Airport in Sylhet due to technical glitch on Wednesday (Oct 3).

The Sylhet-bound aircraft (BG-601) from Dhaka made the emergency landing at 4:20pm.

Pilot found technical glitch on air and announced the sudden landing to passengers. The announcement created panic and shock among passengers, said one of the passenger, Subrata, later.

Subrata, who is the central general secretary of Secha Sebok League, said security personnel and Fire Service vehicles were waiting on the ground while the flight landed on runway.

Osmani International Airport said the landing gear (right side) of the aircraft faced glitch before landing. Pilot could not make the first landing due to the problem and made emergency landing in second time. However, none was injured and the aircraft was not damaged.
