Bijori in title role of drama 'Apa'
Bijori Barkatullah, a much popular face on the small screen will be seen playing the titular role in a tele-drama titled 'Apa'. In the journey of her acting career, she has reached into that position where any director can easily depends on her to play in any challenging role. Bijori has been working under Sokal Ahmed's directed drama serials faction plays for many days. This time under his direction Bijori acted in the title role.
Bijori played the central role in Kazi Riton-scripted and Sokal Ahmed-directed drama 'Apa'. Shooting of the play has already been finished. Besides Bijori, legendary actress Sujata, Intekhab Dinar, Nazira Mou and Irfan Sajjad also acted in different roles in the play.
While talking about the play its director Sokal Ahmed said, "Apa is a tale of lower-middle class family's story. Without father how an elder sister maintains the family - it will be shown. Her beloved Dinar once ignores her. She becomes helpless at one stage. I knew her for many years and I had experiences to work with her.
To portray the role properly, I selected Bijori to play the role of Apa. In fact, I can fully rely on her." Bijori shared her feelings by this way, "Apa is such a story which revolves in our society elsewhere. While acting in this play I became emotional. Many viewers will get similarities about their real life in the role. It has become a nice work. I am optimistic about the play."
