3 killed as two trucks collide in Sirajganj
At least three persons were killed and two others injured as two trucks collided head-on at Kamarkhand in Sirajganj on Wednesday noon.
The deceased were determined as Zahurul Islam of Nimgachhi village, Mithun of Uttara Hajipur village and Ananta of Hajipur village of the same Raiganj upazila.
On info, a firefighting unit went to the spot and recovered the bodies.
Syed Shaheed Alam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Bangabandhu Bridge West Police Station confirmed the problem to Banglanews.
He said a Hotikumrul-bound brick-laden truck collided head-on with a good cotton-laden truck from the opposite course. Two labourers of the brick-laden truck had been killed on the spot and three were hurt.
Among the injured was died at Sirajganj Sheikh Fazilatunnessa Mujib Standard Hospital, the OC also said.
