2 killed in Tangail road crash
Two people, including a district unit President of Sushasoner Jonno Nagarik (Sujan), were killed and six others injured in a road accident at Hatia in Kalihati upazila early on Saturday (Feb 23).
The deceased were identified as Syed Shah Jamal, Chapainnawabganj unit president of Sujan and the driver of a microbus.
The accident took place when a vehicle hit the Dhaka-bound microbus from behind on Dhaka-Bangabandhu Bridge Highway in Kalihati upazila around 4:00am, leaving the duo dead on the spot and injured others.
Mosharrof Hossian, officer in charge of Bangabandhu Bridge East Police Station, told Banglanews that the injured were sent to Tangail Medical College Hospital.
