3 of a family killed as truck overturns in Tangail
Three members of a family including a minor were killed as a truck overturned on Dhaka-Tangail-Bangabandhu Bridge Highway in Mirzapur upazila at early hours of Tuesday (Oct 16) morning.
The deceased were identified as Niranjan Ali, 30, his wife Sagri Mali, 25, and their daughter Swarna, 08, hailed from Shikharanjan village under Joypurhat sadar upazila.
They were on way to Joypurhat, by a truck, leaving Gazipur.
The truck overturned after losing control in Mirzapur, leaving them dead on the spot, around 5am.
Mirzapur Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Faisal confirmed the matter to media.
