2 construction workers electrocuted in Tangail
Two workers died of electrocution while working at an under construction building in Mirzapur upazila of Tangail on Saturday evening (Sep 29).
The deceased were identified as Babu Barman, 45, hailed from Paikhar village of Ulipur upazila of Kurigram and Saddam Hossain, 24, hailed from Jaleswar village in Chatmahar upazila of Pabna.
Mirzapur police station officer-in-charge (OC) AKM Mizanul Huq told Banglanews that the duo was electrocuted while lifting iron rods that got accidentally tangled with electric wire. They were taken to Kumudini hospital were duty doctor pronounced them dead on arrival.
