Victory Day celebrated in Cultural arena
To celebrating the 48th Victory Day, the nation paid tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives to liberate the country from the clutches of Pakistan occupation force in 1971. Different socio-cultural organizations and educational institutions across the country celebrated the day through special programs and performances.

Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) is celebrating the occasion through a two-day program featuring discussion, recitation, plays, music and dance performances at the academy's Nandan Mancha.

Marking the Victory Day, Theatre (Bailey Road), one of the most prominent theatre troupes in the country, staged two special shows of its highly-acclaimed production 'Payer Awaj Pawa Jay' today at the Experimental Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA).

Directed by the late noted theatre personality Abdullah Al Mamun, 'Payer Awaj Pawa Jay' is one of the masterpieces by  prolific writer Syed Shamsul Haq. The play has recently been redirected and designed by Sudip Chakroborthy.
