'In the skin of the other' staged
A contemporary German dance production titled 'In The Skin Of The Other' was staged on Friday evening at the Experimental Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
Goethe-Institut Bangladesh, in collaboration with the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, invited the German dance production as a part of the Contemporary Dance Festival 2018, organized under the Young Choreographers' Platform 2018 project.
Goethe-Institut Bangladesh Director, Dr Kirsten Hackenbroch welcomed the attending audience and introduced the German-based Togolese choreographer Kossi Sebastien Aholou-Wokawui and his co-dancer friend Tomas Bünger, who is also the artistic director of the Young Choreographers' Platform 2018 project
Dr Hackenbroch also thanked Liakat Ali Lucky, Director General of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy for his support for the project and providing scope for artistic expression to the young talents on stage.
Later on, Liakat Ali Lucky highlighted the successful co-organization of different events by Shilpakala Academy and Goethe-Institut, in recent years and expressed his interest, to reorganize the just concluded two-day-long Contemporary Dance Festival in the first quarter of 2019.
The German-based Togolese choreographer Kossi Sebastien Aholou-Wokawui was invited for the first time to present a German dance production in Bangladesh.
