US-Bangla brings 164 Bangladeshis from Chennai with third repatriation flight
The largest private carrier of the country US-Bangla Airlines is flying in 164 Bangladeshis stranded in Chennai due to the coronavirus pandemic using its third repatriation flight today.

Following two previous repatriation flights on April 20-21, the 3rd one will depart Chennai at 12:15 pm and reach Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 3:30 pm with the stranded Bangladeshis.

The carrier may also operate two more repatriation flights on April 24-25 from Chennai to Dhaka, the airline said in a press statement today.

The flights are being operated by Boeing 737-800 aircraft with 164 seating capacity.

A large number of Bangladeshi medical travellers are stranded across India for greater than a month. After governments imposed a ban on air connectivity to support the spread of the coronavirus, these travellers cannot fly back home.

For this function, the Embassy of Bangladesh in India has taken an initiative to send back those stranded Bangladeshis to their homeland and US-Bangla has come forward to lend a hand in this regard.

Only Bangladeshi nationals are approved to board these flights.

It really is to be mentioned here that the passengers with COVID-19 negative certificate will have to remain in home quarantine for 14 days while those without have to stay in the government's quarantine facility for the same period of time.
