Two killed as microbus hits bike in Satkhira
Two students were killed as a microbus hit a motorcycle in Satkhira on Saturday night.
The deceased were recognized as class-X student Ashish Kumar Mandal, 17, son of Mathar Mandal and class-XI student Mukunda Kumar Mandal, 19, son of Shibapad Mandal. Both of these hailed from Shakdaha village of Patkelghata.
According to locals, a Khulna-bound microbus hit their motorbike around 10pm, injuring the duo. They were taken to Satkhira sadar hospital, where duty doctor declared them dead.
Patkelghata Police Station Officer-in-charge (OC) Kazi Wahid told Banglanews that both vehicles were seized. But the microbus driver managed to flee the scene, he added.
