Two BCL activists expelled over beating RU student
The Rajshahi University (RU) authorities temporarily have expelled two Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) activists over beating a student of the university.

The expelled activists are Rakibul Islam, a fourth year student of Islamic Studies department, and Humayun Kabir Nahid, fourth year student of Bangla department. They both are known as followers of RU unit BCL president Golam Kibria.

Decision of the expulsion was taken at an emergency meeting of university discipline committee on Sunday afternoon.

The university proctor professor Dr Lutfar Rahman confirmed the matter.    

Sohrab Miah, a third year student of Finance Department, was beaten up allegedly two BCL activists, leaving his seriously injured. 

Sohrab is now undergoing treatment Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
