Truck driver killed in Bagerhat crash
A truck driver was killed and his helper injured as the vehicle hit a tree on Khulna-Maoa Highway in Fakirhat upazila of Bagerhat early Monday (July 15).
Deceased Kamal was a resident of Nurnagar area of Khulna.
Helper Shamim was admitted to Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH).
The electric equipments laden truck hit a tree besides the highway in Mulghor area after losing control, leaving Kamal dead on the spot, around 3am, Bagerhat Fire Service Deputy Assistant Md masud Sarker told Banglanews.
The body of the driver was recovered from the battered truck, he added.
