2 killed in Bagerhat clash
A Jubo League activist and AL leader were killed in an attack carrid out by rivals over establishing supremacy in Morrelganj Upazila of the district on Monday afternoon (Oct 1).
Two other persons were also injured in the clash happened at Daibaggahati union of the upazila around 4:45 pm.
The deceased were identified as Jubo League activist Shukur Sheikh, 48 Ansar Ali Dihidar, 53.
Morrelganj police station officer-in-charge (OC) KM Azizul Islam told Banglanews that two political rival groups clash with sticks and sharp weapons over establishing supremacy in the area.
Extra police force has been deployed in the area following the incident. The situation is under control now. The matter is being investigated, he added.
