Bagerhat ex tax official sued over Tk 3.4cr embezzlement
Bagerhat tax circle former assistant tax commissioner Md Mesbah Uddin Ahmed was accused in a case over embezzling Tk 3,47,34,419 state money.
Khulna Tax Zone Deputy Tax Commissioner Khandaker Md Tarif Uddin, as a plaintiff, filed the case with Khulna Metropolitan Court (Khalishpur) Monday (May 27).
Court judge Toriqul Islam ordered Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) to run investigation into the case.
On May 19, Mezbah was suspended from Khulna tax zone on allegation of the embezzlement.
