Ten-day programme on Bangabandhu's birth centenary from Wednesday
A 10-day special programme will commence at National Parade Surface from Wednesday marking the birth centenary celebration of Father of the country Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Golden Jubilee of the Independence.

Chief Coordinator of the daddy of the country Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Birth Centenary Celebration National Implementation Committee Dr Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury on Friday revealed the info at a press conference at the International Mother Language Institute (IMLI) in the town, said a news release.

Amongst others, Chairman of the Implementation Committee National Professor Rafiqul Islam, Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni, former Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor, Point out Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam, Deputy Minister of Normal water Resources AKM Enamul Haque Shamim and Info Secretary Khaja Mia were present on the occasion.

Dr Chowdhury informed that the events will come to be held from March 17 to March 26 following well being rules and guests from home and abroad will need part at the occasions.

He said the theme of the 10-evening celebration is 'Mujib Chirantan', but separate theme for everyday has been taken.

He informed that 'Vengechho Duar Esechho Jotirmoy' may be the theme of March 17 even while ‘Mohakaler Torjoni' for March 18 function, 'Jotokal Robe Padma Jamuna' for March 19, 'Tarunner Alokshikha' for March 20, 'Dhongsostupe Jiboner Gan’ for March 21 happenings, 'Banglar Mati, Amar Mati' for March 22, 'Nari Mukti, Sammo o Swadhinata' for March 23, Santi, Mukti o Manobotar Agrodoot' for March 24 occurrences, 'Gonohottar Kalratri o Aloker Avijatra' for March 25 and 'Swadhinatar Panchash Bochhor o Agrogotir Subornorekha' for March 26.

From the 10 times, Dr Chowdhury said 500 invited guests from your home and abroad will be there at the National Parade Surface on March 17, 19, 22, 24 and 26.

All programmes, including the March 18, 20, 21, 23 and 25, will be aired in television channels, over the internet and social media in view of the existing situation of Covid-19, he added.

He informed that President Abdul Hamid might be there on March 17, 22 and 26 and Primary Minister Sheikh Hasina might be there on March 17, 19, 22, 24 and 26.

He said head of the status and mind of the government of different countries will be there at the happenings as guest of honour.

On March 17, Dr Chowdhury said Maldivian President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih will attend the inauguration program of the 10-evening event on March 17 as guest of honour while Chinese President Xi Jinping and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will deliver the welcome speeches through virtually.

On March 19, he said Primary Minister of Sri Lanka Mahinda Rajapaksa will attend the event as guest of honour while Nepalese President Bidhya Devi Bhandari will be there on March 22.

He informed that Bhutanese Primary Minister Dr Lotay Tshering will be present at the National Parade Ground on March 24 even while Pope Francis might deliver the welcome speech through virtually.

Dr Chowdhury said Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi might attend the closing day of the 10-day time event on March 26 and deliver his speech.

He informed that Cambodian Primary Minister Hun Sen might deliver the welcome speech on March 18, OIC Secretary Standard Dr Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen will deliver speech on March 20, Japanese Primary Minister Yoshihide Suga on March 22 and South Korean Primary Minister Chung Sye-kyun and Takasi Hawarkawar Boy Osamu Hawakawa on March 25.

Dr Chowdhury said the events will come to be held from 4.30pm to 8pm about March 17, 19, 22, 24 and 26 while the programmes of the additional days will be held from 5.16pm to 8pm.
