Bangabandhu biopic goes on floors
Shooting for the film 'Bangabandhu', a biopic in Father of the Nation Bangbandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, has begun. 

The Muhurat Shoot was held at the Dadasaheb Phalke Chitranagari in Mumbai on Thursday, following all of the Covid-19 protocols.

Veteran filmmaker Shyam Benegal is directing the biopic, which has been jointly made by Bangladesh and India as part of the birth centenary special event of the daddy of the Nation of Bangladesh. Because the film is in Bangla words, Shyam Benegal wanted to cast actors accordingly. Bangladeshi film and television set actor Arifin Shuvoo will take up the purpose of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, while Nusrat Imrose Tisha will portray the purpose of Sheikh Fazilatunnesa. The position of Sheikh Hasina will come to be essayed by Nusraat Faria and Tauquir Ahmed will appear in the function of Sohrawardy, amongst others.

The first phase of shooting will need place in the Film City in Mumbai, which will go on for about 100 days. The second phase of the capturing will be placed in Bangladesh, usually filming the Muktibahini's struggle for independence.

Atul Tiwari and Shama Zaidi have written the screenplay of the film, while Nitish Roy may be the art director. Shantanu Moitra directs the movie's music, and Akashdeep may be the director of photography.

The MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) for creation of the film was signed on January 14 this past year, between your National Film Development Company (NFDC) and Bangladesh Film Production Corporation (BFDC).
