Seven burnt alive in Cox's Bazar Rohingya camp fire
Seven people, including two children, have been killed in a massive fire that broke away at Balukhali Rohingya camp in Ukhiya upazila of Cox’s Bazar on Monday afternoon.

Md Abdullah, deputy assistant director of Cox's Bazar Fire Support and Civil Defence, confirmed the news on Tuesday morning.

The identities of the deceased cannot be known yet.

Meanwhile, thousands of houses have already been destroyed found in the fire that broke out around 4.00pm, according to officials and witnesses.

After trying for more than seven hours, several units of the fire program and Bangladesh Army brought the fire in order around 10.00pm, Md Abdullah said.

Ukhia Upazila Nirbahi Officer Nizam Uddin Ahmed said the influenced Rohingyas are appearing shifted to various camps.

Thousands of folks who shed their shelters in the fire took shelter on the Cox’s Bazar-Teknaf highway. The homeless persons have lost all of the belongings of their camp huts.
