Schoolboy loses battle against dengue
A schoolboy lost the battle for his life against mosquito-borne disease dengue at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) early Thursday.
Rakib Hossain, 16, was 10th grader at Charbangshi Model School under Charbangshi union in Raipur upazila of Laxmipur. He was the son of Aktar Hossain.
Locals said he was first admitted to a hospital in Raipur after he was affected by dengue fever.
From there, he was sent to Laxmipur Sadar Hospital for better treatment.
Later, he was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital after his condition deteriorated.
After undergoing treatment at DMCH for last five days, Rakib breathed her last early hours of the day.
