Woman dies of dengue at KMCH
A woman died of mosquito-borne disease dengue at Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH) early Tuesday.

Deceased Sabita, 40, was the wife of Haradhan, hailed from Keshabpur upazila of Jashore.

KMCH resident physician (RP) Dr Shoilendranath Bishwas said Sabita was admitted to the hospital with dengue fever on Sunday. She died at the hospital at early hours.    

With this, a total of 25 people have, so far, died of dengue virus in the district.

UNB adds: According to offocial statistics, some 174 dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals across the country in 24 hours till 8am on Monday.

Since January, 97,730 people were hospitalised with dengue. Of them, 96,820 made full recovery.

The Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research has received 248 reports of dengue-related deaths. It has reviewed 171 of them and confirmed 107 deaths so far in the country.
