Samrat's two cases transfer to RAB
Detective Branch (DB) of police has handed over the two cases of expelled Jubo League's Dhaka South unit president Ismail Hossain Samrat to Rapid Action Battalion (RAB).

Sarwar-Bin-Kashem, director (legal and media) of RAB said, "We gave the order to investigate the cases on Wednesday night. We will bring Samrat on Thursday. RAB-1 will investigate the cases."

The influential Jubo League leader came under the spotlight after the Rapid Action Battalion unearthed illegal casino hubs in sporting clubs in Dhaka on September 18.

The elite force members arrested Samrat and Arman from Chauddagram upazila of Cumilla early morning on October 6.

Later, they raided Samrat's office in Bhuiyan Trade Centre at Kakrail and recovered a loaded pistol, 1,160 Yaba pills, 19 bottles of foreign liquor and two Kangaroo skins.

He was, later, sentenced to six months’ imprisonment for possessing animal hide.

On October 8, Samrat was admitted to National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) following a chest pain. And he was discharged from the hospital on October 12.
