Samrat being taken to central jail from hospital
Expelled Jubo League Dhaka South Unit president Ismail Hossain Samrat is being taken to Dhaka Central Jail in Keraniganj from National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) on Saturday.
He was discharged from the hospital around 11:15am, NICVD sources said.
Earlier on October 8, Samrat, an alleged kingpin of illegal casino business in Dhaha, was admitted to the hospital following a chest pain.
Samrat and his associate Arman were arrested from Chauddagram upazila of Cumilla early morning on October 6.
He was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment for possessing animal hide.
