Couple flee leaving 3-day-old daughter at hospital
Parents of a 3-day-old girl on Saturday went into hiding leaving her at the bed of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
DMCH sources said a woman gave birth a baby daughter at 106 no. Ward of the hospital three days ago. Staying for three days, they fled, leaving behind the newborn.
Patients there informed police about the matter as the couple did not return till 8:00pm.
Doctors said the baby was kept at 211 no. Ward and it is well.
DMCH Police Outpost sub-inspector Md Bachchu Mia confirmed the matter.
The police official said mother of the baby was written Nahar in paper during admission and their address written Mirpur-1.
