SalamAir to connect Dhaka-Muscat from August 28
SalamAir, Oman’s first budget airlines announced to operate flights to from Muscat from August 28, connecting two capitals of Bangladesh and Oman.

The airline will operate four direct weekly flights on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday to . is the airline’s fourth destination in the South Asia and 13th destinations of SalamAir.

SalamAir will formally launch the -Muscat flights in September 3, but would begin a semi-chartered flights on August 28 and offers promotional fares for -Muscat and other destinations, including Dubai.

Mohamed Desouky, Head of Sales of SalamAir, based in Oman at an Agent Briefing ceremony on August 5 at Six Season Hotel, said the flights would create strong bondage between the people of two countries.

The event was attended by MA Latif Shahrear Zahedee, Managing Director of AeroWing Aviation Limited, GSA of SalamAir and Turkish Airlines and top travel agents. Also present was Md Nasser Shahrear Zahedee, Chairman of AeroWing Aviation.

The low-cost airline began its journey in January 2017 with five Airbus 320 aircraft and six more Airbus 321 Neo are expected join the fleet. Once these aircraft join the fleet, Desouky hopes to serve with daily flights and subsequently will also operate to Chittagong and Sylhet as well.

The largest migrant workers in Oman are from Bangladesh. The Sultanate has nearly 700,000 Bangladeshi expatriate.

Middle-East routes are not only Hajj and Umrah flights, SalamAir will have passengers for leisure, business and pleasure.

The SalamAir network consists of 13 destinations including Muscat, Salalah, Suhar, Dubai, Doha, Jeddah, Karachi, Multan, Sialkot, Shiraz, as well as newly introduced Tbilisi, Baku and .
