Runa expresses gratitude to late Khaled Khan
Versatile actress Runa Khan got the National Film Award for first time. For acting in Tauquir Ahmed-directed movie Halda Runa got the award in category of Best Side Actress. Runa will receive the award from the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at a function on December 8.
In her career, to come into this position he expressed her gratitude to some persons. At first, she recalled the name of journalist Daud Hossain Roni by whom she attached with theatre play. But she expressed her most gratitude to Juboraj famed late actor Khaled Khan. Runa said, "When I started acting with Nagorik Natya Sampraday after taking part in rehearsal of the play, most of the time I had to return my hostel at Eden College lately.
At 8:00pm, college hostel remained shut down, so I had to stay at night at Khaled Khan's residence for two years at a time. If he could not give me shelter during that time it would really difficult for me to continue acting in theatre play. In fact, during that time I had no shelter in Dhaka. So, I remember him with gratitude. I am grateful to him. I am also grateful to my parents, husband, Tauquir Ahmed, members of jury board and alls who co-operated me till today in my career."
Runa Khan informed that right now she is taking part in shooting of Rafat Mazumder Rinku's telefilm titled Bodh in Manikganj. Last Tuesday she completed shooting of Gazi Faruk's a play titled Moddhyoswatto Bhogi. Runa was born in Mirzapur of Tangail but own village is in same district's Sakhipur.
