Rohonpur to be turned into full-fledged railway port: Sujan
Railways Minister Md. Nurul Islam Sujan on Friday said Rohonpur would be converted into a railway port to improve organization with Nepal and Bhutan.
He was addressing a good gathering at the station program after his go to to the Rohonpur Railway Station under Gomostapur upazila found in Chapainawabganj district in the afternoon.
The minister said Sheikh Hasina’s government may be the government of development.
Significant development programmes have been going on in the united states, he added.
Sujan said Rohonpur is a significant railway station because it has a commercial link with India and Nepal and after adding hyperlink with Bhutan this professional route would be enriched further.
He added that the federal government has agreed with India to increase railway to Bhutan with a good view to increasing business.
Responding to the local demands the minister announced that the trains that were suspended due to corona will be reintroduced before Ramadan.
Additional boggies will be given to carry mangoes and vegetables at cheaper level, he said.
