Review body recommends scrapping quota for 1st, 2nd class job
The government-formed committee to review the quota system for the civil service has recommended scrapping the existing quota for the first and second class government jobs.
The seven-member body also submitted a report in this regard to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Committee chief Mohammad Shafiul Alam, also the Cabinet Secretary, told this at a press conference at the Secretariat on Monday.
He said the lawyers have given opinion on the court verdict on freedom fighters quota will not leave any impact on the quota revision or cancellation.
On April 11, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina announced cancellation of quota system in the government recruitment following the quota revision movement across the country.
