Faruk among 3 quota reform leaders remanded
DHAKA: A Dhaka court has placed 3 leaders of the quota reform movement including Faruk Hossain, joint convener of Bangladesh Sadharan Chhatra Adhikar Sangrakkhan Parishad, into two-day remand in two cases.
The other two leaders are –Jasim Uddin and Moshiur Rahman.
Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Abdullah Al Masud passed the order on Tuesday (July 10) after DB police inspector Bahauddin Faruki produced them before court seeking 7-day remand for each.
Earlier on July 3, police arrested the three leaders and they were sent to jail through court. The two cases were filed in connection with the attacks at Dhaka University vice chancellor's residence and police and vandalizing vehicles on April 9.
