Quota movement leaders assaulted at DU
DHAKA: Some leaders of the quota reform movement were physically assaulted allegedly by some Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) activists in front of Dhaka University Central Library on Saturday.
The leaders of the Bangladesh General Students' Rights Protection Council were scheduled to arrange a press conference to announce their fresh programme in front of the library but some BCL activists launched an attack on them around 11 am.
Movement convener Hassan Al Mamun told Banglanews that three of their leaders injured in the incident. Nurul Haq, joint convener of the council, was admitted to hospital.
