Quota proposal to be placed in next cabinet meeting
A proposal on quota system recommended by the secretary committee would be placed before the next cabinet meeting, said joint secretary of the Public Administration Ministry and spokesperson of Quota Review Committee Abul Quashem Mohammad Mohiuddin.
After the decision of the cabinet division, the Public Administration Ministry will issue gazette notification to this end.
Joint Secretary of the Public Administration told journalists at the secretariat on Wednesday.
“We have received the committee’s recommendation on quota from the Prime Minister Office (PMO) and it has already been sent to the cabinet division,” he said and hoed that it would be placed in the next cabinet meeting for approval, BSS reports.
On September 17, the Quota Review Committee, headed by Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam, submitted their recommendation to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The committee recommended for quota free recruitment of first and second class employees in public services.
